Finish the build, skip the Force Quit
You get a warning minutes before macOS runs out of memory, while there is still time to act. One click frees memory before the beachball, so the build, the test run and the agent keep going.
Native Mac app / MacMelon
No more Force Quit in the middle of a build.
Sentinely sees a memory freeze coming minutes ahead, shows you exactly what is hogging memory, and frees it in one click without closing anything you are using. Then it shows you how much came back.
You get a warning minutes before macOS runs out of memory, while there is still time to act. One click frees memory before the beachball, so the build, the test run and the agent keep going.
Sentinely goes after what you have stopped using: AI chat sessions idle for hours, helpers left behind by apps you closed, editor windows stuck at full CPU. The session you are in and the project you are editing stay open.
A restart frees memory by closing everything, including what you needed. Sentinely frees only what is wasted, so your windows, tabs and terminals stay where you left them.
Every fix ends with a receipt measured on your Mac: memory freed, and swap and memory pressure before and after. If nothing improved, the receipt says so.
What it does
Sentinely is for people who live in heavy tools: Cursor or VS Code, Claude Code or Codex, Docker, a local model and a browser full of tabs, all at once. When they need more memory than your Mac has, macOS spills the rest to disk, everything slows, and then comes the Force Quit window: “Your system has run out of application memory.” Sentinely watches memory pressure and swap, forecasts that moment minutes ahead, and names what is holding memory: idle AI chat sessions, editor windows stuck at full CPU, helpers left running after their app closed, idle editor windows, a loaded local model, big apps you are not using. One click frees it, and a receipt shows what came back. The diagnosis, freeze warnings and your first fix are free. If your Mac is fine, Sentinely says so and keeps watch. Low disk space limits how much swap macOS can add; for that, use Disk Housekeeper.
macOS only speaks up once it has already run out of memory. Sentinely works out how close you are from how fast swap is filling and how much room is left, including whether your disk is too full for more swap, and warns you minutes ahead. The menu bar icon turns amber or red, and the warning comes with one button: free memory now. Warnings are free.
Sentinely only names what is actually running on your Mac: idle VS Code or Cursor windows, by project; editor windows whose extensions are stuck at full CPU; AI chat sessions idle for hours; MCP and dev servers left running after their editor or terminal closed; models loaded in Ollama; Docker Desktop’s virtual machine; idle Adobe helpers. When nothing is wasting memory, it says so.
Before anything changes, you see what will happen, and Sentinely re-checks that each process is still the one it found. Apps are asked to quit the normal way, so they can offer to save, and chat apps are left alone while your microphone or camera is in use.
After a fix, Sentinely measures twice: ten seconds later and again after a minute. Freed is the memory those processes gave back. Felt is what changed for you: swap, memory pressure, and how often your Mac reads memory back from disk. If nothing improved, the receipt says so.
Autopilot frees memory on its own before a freeze, using only fixes that are safe to run without you, and only on things you have already stopped once by hand. It waits until memory has stayed tight, acts straight away when a freeze is close, never quits apps, keeps daily limits, and tells you after every action, with a receipt.
When memory is filling and you need time to save, you can hold a heavy AI agent or build for 20 minutes. Nothing is closed or lost: it stops growing, then resumes on its own. Hold does not free memory; it buys you time, and it only happens when you choose it.
No button that empties memory for show, no speed scores, no admin password, and nothing paused unless you choose Hold. Sentinely only touches your own processes, never the system’s, and only suggests a restart when nothing else would help.
Open Sentinely. It reads memory pressure, swap, and what each app is holding, and tells you in plain language whether anything is wasting memory.
Pick a finding. Sentinely shows exactly which processes it will ask to quit and re-checks them before acting. Anything that could interrupt you asks first.
Sentinely measures at ten seconds and again at one minute, and shows what was freed and what changed for you. Your first fix is free.
Turn on freeze warnings and leave the menu bar monitor running. With Pro, Autopilot steps in on its own before your Mac runs out of memory, using only the fixes you have approved.
Useful tools, thoughtful controls, and a direct line to the people building them.
AccessWatch keeps your permission prompts, rules and history on the Mac. Disk Housekeeper previews disk changes. Sentinely measures memory on the Mac and asks before it changes anything.
PrivacySentinely shows a fix before it runs and measures the result afterwards: memory freed, and memory pressure and swap before and after. If nothing improved, the receipt says so. No speed scores and no time-saved figures.

Anyone whose Mac slows down or freezes under a heavy workload, and especially developers and AI builders: Cursor or VS Code, Claude Code or Codex, Docker, local models and a lot of browser tabs. If you have ever restarted your Mac just to get its speed back, it is for you.
No. RAM cleaners empty memory that macOS refills a minute later. Sentinely finds what is holding memory you are not using, such as leftover helpers, idle sessions, and background apps, and gives it back, with a measured result. How Sentinely measures explains every number.
Not by surprise. Sentinely warns you minutes before macOS runs out of memory and offers to free what idle apps are holding; with Pro, Autopilot can do that on its own. It cannot make your Mac hold more than its memory and disk allow, so if you keep opening more, the warning tells you that too. The time left is always shown as an estimate.
Apps are asked to quit the normal way, so they offer to save. Anything that could interrupt you asks first. Hold pauses an agent or a build only when you choose it, closes nothing, and resumes it on its own after 20 minutes. Nothing happens automatically unless you turn on Autopilot.
Sentinely tells you so. Using a lot of memory is normal, and it does not invent a problem to fix. It keeps watch from the menu bar and lets you know if something starts holding on to memory.
Free, with no time limit: the live diagnosis, freeze warnings, the menu bar monitor, receipts, and one fix. Pro is $29, once, with no subscription. It adds unlimited one-click fixes and Autopilot, which frees memory on its own before a freeze.

Rarely. Sentinely suggests a restart only when memory pressure stays high after everything it can fix has been dealt with and swap is still very large. Never because your Mac has been on for a while.
No admin password and no system extension. It only asks for permissions at the moment a feature needs them, such as notifications.
Only to check your license, check for updates, and fetch the current price and offers. Nothing about your Mac’s memory or processes leaves your Mac. Process command lines, which can contain secrets, are redacted on the Mac and never stored or sent.
It matters for memory too: swap lives on your disk, so when the disk is nearly full macOS cannot add more swap and the Force Quit window comes sooner. Sentinely tells you when that is happening. To free disk space, use Disk Housekeeper, which previews every clean and sends removals to the Trash by default.
macOS 26 or later, on Apple silicon or Intel. On Intel Macs, the optional Apple Intelligence explanations are not available; everything else works the same.
Apple's sandbox does not allow one app to close another app's background helpers, which is what Sentinely needs to do.
